Oversee all of the Engineering efforts in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada.

Provide operational, technical & strategic oversight to the critical infrastructure and their environments within the assigned Bank of America portfolio. This includes supporting Property and Project Management in the delivery of services while ensuring the integrity and reliability of the client’s critical operations are not compromised. Responsible for ensuring that all-Corporate Workplace (CW) Critical Facility Guidelines, Critical Environment Work Authorization (CEWA), Process Optimization, Critical Facilities Operations & Maintenance bulletins are understood and followed.

Focus on goals determined by Corporate Workplace and the Client’s current and future needs by maintaining a strategic view and managing infrastructure operations; including all electrical, mechanical, life-safety, and back-up systems required to support the Critical Facilities.

Supervises and directs the Facility’s operations staff and monitors performance of their assigned responsibilities. Perform and /or direct the performance of all facility departmental service requests, insuring that work performed in all spaces are accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption.

Manages engineering staff, including selection, scheduling and job assignments; counseling, appraisals and recognition; recommending salary, promotional, disciplinary, termination, and other personnel actions. Provide training and support aimed at expanding the capabilities of the operations and maintenance staff, including, but not limited to, personal safety, Critical Environment Work Authorization (CEWA), mechanical and electrical systems, and fire/life-safety.

Ensure compliance with all client requirements and expectations, including Critical Facilities’ Guildlines, Critical Environment Work Authorization, Process Optimization, all operations and maintenance Bulletins & Exterminators, and Addendum-6 (A-6).

Provide technical oversite to support Property/ Project Management in the delivery of maintenance, project, and construction related activities supporting facility operations.

Plan and manage the budget, allowing for appropriate control and utilization of client resources. Recommend and provide cost/ benefit analysis for repairs and improvements, for inclusion in the annual budget.

Performs additional job duties as requested.

Understands the engineering design and operational aspects of the facility’s systems and equipment. Must be able to immediately recognize system shortcomings and respond to operational and emergency situations.

Maintain effective communication with all external and internal customers, including clients, Property & Project management, and Engineering staff.

Bachelors degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or equivalent experience directing and managing a facility-engineering department.

Critical Facility engineering and operations experience beneficial.

10 years experience in facility/plant engineering and maintenance management and supervision experience.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.

Proficient in basic computer applications and software such as MS Office.
