The Maintenance/ Engineering Intern will provide valuable support to the Maintenance department, assisting with various tasks related to Inventory Control, Order parts, maintaining the database This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about Maintenance/ Engineering practices in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities:
- Inventory Control
- Cycle Counting & Centralization: Contribute to the development of a cycle count process
- Standardizing Inventory Data: Support the update of inventory parts databases to align with consistent naming conventions and standards
- Receiver and Database Maintenance
- Parts Room Setup & System Entry: Assist with data input and research for adding critical parts to the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Spare Parts Inventory Optimization: Help develop spare parts lists for key production lines and organize inventory physically within the storeroom.
- Order parts based on business needs, within the established min/max quantities.
- Ensure order accuracy when receiving new parts.
Qualifications:

- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Previous internship or experience in Maintenance/ Engineering or a related field is a plus but not required
- Teaching and Mentoring: The I.E. must be able to devise procedures, forms, work instructions, etc, in order to transfer the problem solving abilities to the people most closely associated with the problem.
- Perform various duties as required/assigned.
