ADF International in Great Falls, Montana, announces an immediate opening for an Industrial Engineer for their steel fabrication plant.

Rate of pay is negotiable, DOE.
Do you have a degree in Engineering? Do you have specialized military training and experience in areas like Management Standards, Principles and Policies; Problem Analysis and Decision-making; Production and Purchasing Methods, and Use of Management Information Systems? Are you a former military officer who served on active or reserve duty as an Industrial Engineer? A qualified candidate for the position of ADF International’s Industrial Engineer will be able to document a Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering field awarded by an accredited college or university and 2 or more years experience in leadership or management as an Industrial Engineer in a structural steel or other fabricated metal manufacturing environment. Our ideal candidate will have an impeccable training background and an unblemished work record and will be able to provide detailed performance evaluations or compelling references that attest to work-related expertise and a well-tested set of leadership qualities.

Key Technical Skills:
Strong computer skills
Strong technical writing ability
Working knowledge of structural steel and manufacturing
Working knowledge of CNC machines and processes
Knowledge of electrical schematics, CAD, mechanical systems and software programing
Responsible for reliability and optimization of multiple CNC machines and processes.
Responsible to lead meetings with CNC foremen and production manager to ensure effective communication
Responsible for monitoring the functions of CNC machines and working closely with foremen, programmers, and maintenance to coordinate tasks and investigate all concerns.
Responsible for identifying and analyzing inefficiencies through various methods and for developing processes for continuous improvement.
Responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, software, programming, and process issues in the CNC area.
Responsible for accurately describing technical problems to offsite support personnel via phone and email.
Responsible for researching sources and availability of spare parts and special tooling and for making inventory recommendations to minimize potential machine downtime.
Responsible for explaining complex technical data to personnel at all levels within the organization.
Responsible for working with offsite vendors to optimize tooling lifespan.
Responsible for nvestigating the root causes of issues.
Responsible for recommending and facilitating additional training of CNC operators, as needed.

Be quick to troubleshoot, research, and develop solutions to various production issues.
Be directly involved with projects and provide direction as needed to complete tasks.

Be familiar with electrical schematics, CAD, mechanical systems, and software programming and best practices.
