How do I make an offer to a freelance applicant?

Select “Send Offer” on the candidate’s profile/application. If you don’t have a credit card on file, you will be prompted to add a new payment method before sending an offer. If you already have a credit card on file, you will enter the “Draft Offer” flow.

Here, specify the project scope, duration, and rate (hourly or flat rate).

Add at least one milestone and set the scope (due date) and payment for each. Include a name for each milestone and a description. If you have multiple milestones, you can drag them to reorder them.

At the bottom, you’ll see the total milestone payment, which includes the 8% service fee.

Select “Send Offer.”

After sending an offer, you’ll see a box at the top of the candidate’s application page indicating the offer status with details of the offer. The candidate has 72 hours to respond. They may either accept the offer or decline. You can also cancel the offer from this screen (learn more about canceling agreements here.
