ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented IT Project Manager to join our team in the Chantilly, VA area.
The IT Project Manager will assist leadership in directing the project life cycle by supporting the development of comprehensive project plans to include both long and short-range goals and milestones. Identifies, acquires, and clarifies customer requirements. Interfaces with internal and external customers to achieve project technical objectives. Utilizes resources and advises personnel to fulfill customer expectations. Provides technical writing support, process improvement guidance, as well as advising on policy and directive compliance. The candidate works within a matrix organization, monitoring, motivating, and guiding functional organizations to complete milestones within specific budgets and schedules. Prepares detailed status briefings for top level management for the purpose of communicating project status throughout the life cycle.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Managing and tracking multiple IT projects, typically involving multiple IT disciplines, through the complete project lifecycle from opening to closing
Creating and maintaining project plans and schedules
Maintaining project documentation
Coordinating project staffing
Coordinating and tracking project funding
Domestic Travel up to 25%
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and 5 years of IT Project Management experience or high school diploma/GED with 9 years of relevant experience with IT Project Management
Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications
Experience preparing project plans to include budget, staffing, schedule, and travel
Experience in implementing Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3, or higher, based IT practices and processes; focus on Change and Release Management
Experience managing teams up to 20
Ability to understand and clearly communicate project goals, updates, and issues to stakeholders at all levels
Proven ability to build and maintain constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, and technical teams across the customer base
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous NRO experience is desired
Previous NRO/COMM experience is desired
Experience with Service Now
Experience with ICD503 and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Process
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
ITIL Foundations v3 or higher certification
Demonstrated ability to communicate to all levels of management and customer organizations
Clearance Requirements:
Must have active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
Constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
