Location: This position is Buffalo-based and requires being onsite 3 days per week Duration: 12 months Overview: Manages high-priority projects that impact three or more business units or functional areas, or complex projects that span multiple areas. Manages changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using established techniques to maintain project accuracy, facilitate customer acceptance, and align with change management protocols. Primary Responsibilities: Lead and manage high-priority or complex cross-functional projects from initiation to completion. Define and document detailed project requirements, assumptions, and deliverables through stakeholder collaboration. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including scope, timelines, cost/budget forecasts, and communication, risk, and resource plans. Communicate project goals, updates, and expectations to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization. Monitor project progress using established tools; identify variances and implement corrective actions as needed. Facilitate change control processes and manage project risks proactively. Enhance team performance through leadership, mentoring, and collaboration, building a cohesive and effective project team. Ensure adherence to internal risk, regulatory, and audit standards. Scope of Responsibilities: Accountable for successful execution of large-scale, strategic projects with significant business impact. Must be familiar with technical and non-technical project objectives and system scope. Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities: Contributes to technical and professional direction within the discipline. May lead matrixed teams and influence key decision-makers across departments. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years proven project management experience, OR A combined minimum of 6 years higher education and/or work experience including at least 4 years of project management experience (or a minimum of 3 years with strong performance). Proficiency with personal computers and relevant software packages. Strong communication skills, including assertiveness and the ability to ask effective, probing questions. Education and Experience Preferred: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) experience is a plus. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
