Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare civil design plans, sections, details, and schematic/concept drawings using AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Civil 3D for land development, commercial, industrial, and energy-related projects, including oil and gas facilities, mining infrastructure, and manufacturing plants.
- Interpret design and IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings, as well as material and construction specifications, to support the execution of projects engineered by others, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Participate in field topographic and construction surveying, preparing notes, sketches, maps, and cross-sections to provide accurate data for engineering design and construction planning.
- Coordinate construction activities on-site, including piling, fill placement, compaction, and deep and shallow foundation construction, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Prepare RFI (Request for Information) forms and submit them to engineering teams for the resolution of technical issues during construction, facilitating smooth project execution.
- Monitor geotechnical material testing, including soil, aggregate, asphalt, concrete, advanced soil sampling, compaction, and pile testing, to ensure quality control in accordance with design and testing specifications.
- Assist in seismic exploration and geophysical prospecting activities, communicating findings with engineering personnel, clients, and other stakeholders to support project decision-making.
- Contribute to the development of proposals, project scopes, and estimate takeoffs for bid opportunities, leveraging technical expertise to support business growth in the oil and energy, petrochemical, mining, and manufacturing sectors.
Employment Requirements:
- Completion of college certificate or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
- Experience is an asset
- Proficient in using AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
- Willingness to be a team player with a strong ability to work independently
