Our client, a leader in the medical device industry, is seeking an Engineer II - Disposables R&D, Sustaining to join their team. As an Engineer II, you will be part of the Research and Development department supporting innovative product enhancements. The ideal candidate will have strong collaboration skills, a keen attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Engineer II - Disposables R&D, Sustaining

Location: Plymouth, MN (Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite)

What's the Job?

  • Lead and support small to medium-sized projects with global cross-functional teams in the implementation of design changes.
  • Identify, investigate, and solve engineering problems utilizing risk-based and customer-focused approaches.
  • Create, modify, and maintain design history file documentation including protocols, reports, and design specifications.
  • Develop and execute test method validations, product testing, and verification/validation activities.
  • Build prototypes and models, and may operate machine tools and design basic tooling.

What's Needed?

  • BS in Mechanical, Plastics, Biomedical Engineering or a related field; MS preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of related experience in Class II or Class III disposable medical product development.
  • Working knowledge of plastics materials and processing such as injection molding and sterilization.
  • Familiarity with CAD and PDM enterprise software (e.g., Creo, Solidworks).
  • Strong initiative with a high aptitude for learning and implementing best practices.
