Job Summary:

Our company is looking for an HVAC Controls Engineer to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing precise drawings and programming solutions to support our field technicians effectively.

Core Responsibilities:

  • HVAC System Expertise: Proven ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize HVAC systems, specializing in DDC controls integration.
  • Control Strategy Development: Skilled in crafting detailed sequences of operations for Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure optimal HVAC equipment performance.
  • Wiring Diagram Development: Create clear and comprehensive wiring diagrams for the installation and operation of third-party equipment, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain essential technical documentation, including equipment manuals, operation guides, and as-built drawings.
  • System Integration: Collaborate effectively with project teams to integrate DDC controls seamlessly with existing building systems and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert technical support to field personnel and customers, addressing complex issues related to DDC controls and HVAC systems.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Windows Office Suite for generating reports, presentations, and documentation that detail project updates and technical specifications.
  • Networking Protocols: Familiar with BACnet, Lon, Modbus, Tridium, and IP network integration for enhanced system functionality.
  • Other duties assigned.

Qualifications Needed to Apply:

  • An exceptional work ethic and the ability to work well with our team.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills that keep projects running smoothly.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial and/or industrial DDC controls engineering, or 10 years in commercial and/or industrial HVAC service with a focus on DDC controls.
  • In-depth understanding of chiller, boiler, AHU, DX system operations, and VFD controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex control strategies for building management systems
  • Proficient in BACnet, Lon, Modbus, Tridium, and IP networks.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a talent for effective collaboration among internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
