Job Summary

Part of a larger team delivering high quality technology solutions to the business. Assists with the design, development and installation of software solutions. Helps build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with internal architecture, development & design standards & best practices. Helps design, modify, develop, write, implement and troubleshoot software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Works within a Waterfall or Agile methodology/framework based team. Collaborates heavily with Project Management, Business Analyst and Infrastructure Job Families.

What You'll Do:

• Develops advanced solutions to resolve customer and prospective customer issues in a logical, creative and structured manner.

• Align the clients goals, needs and objectives to the solutions. Communicate issues and status in a clear, timely manner. Interpret specifications and build solutions to those specifications. Generate infrastructure support documentation. Evaluate and propose process improvements.

• Build and maintain a high level of knowledge about the company's software/hardware products.

What We're Looking For:

Solution Engineer Associate (SG5):

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.

Experience: No additional experience is required.

An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Solution Engineer (SG6):

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.

Experience: 2 years of relevant work experience is required.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Nice-To-Have:

Experience/Skills:

• Exhibit a strong understanding of the PI system, its components, and associated processes.

• Demonstrate the ability to comprehend interrelationships between systems and components.

• Show critical thinking, a sense of urgency, and attention to detail to support real-time operations.

• Ability to provide on-call support on a rotation basis, available after hours (24/7)

• Preferred: Experience with AVEVA PI and Operational Technology Systems, including:

  • PI Interfaces

  • PI Connectors

  • PI Integrators

• Experience with Operational Technology, specifically Power Plant Control Systems such as Ovation.

• Understanding of communication protocols, including OPC, Modbus, DNP, and Ovation.

• Experience with SCADA systems.

• Knowledge of RTUs (Remote Terminal Units).

Location: Prefer candidate to live within 50 miles of Columbus, OH

Solution Engineer (SG6): $ 72,380.00-$90,474.50
