- Develop initial code conforming to established in-house programming and field commissioning standards.
- Comply with customer specifications on each project for system control and monitoring, testing, completing field testing documentation, and field commissioning and start-up activities.
- Prepare detailed and complete PLC programs that are fully annotated and comply with the system design drawings required to implement the project scope according to project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Test and document testing procedures for all programs and software developed, ensuring they comply with customer and in-house testing documentation requirements.
- Complete all commissioning documents for L1 and L2 commissioning.
- Conduct field commissioning and testing of assigned projects, working within a team to deploy and turn over completed, tested systems to customers.
- Travel to job sites as required for commissioning and start-up activities for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, customers, and others to discuss and understand project specifications, scope, and design requirements.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, specifically with Allen Bradley and RSLogix.
- Experience in controls engineering and commissioning.
- Strong understanding of industrial control networks and Ethernet/IP communications.
- Experience with material-handling equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant Controls Engineering experience.
- Familiarity with HMI and control systems.
This role offers a remote work environment with 100% travel to customer sites such as UPS, FedEx, and Amazon. The travel schedule is 10-4.
