Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal RF Microwave Engineer / Sr Principal RF Microwave Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

What Youll Get To Do:
Designing, developing, and testing radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems architecture, components, circuits, or products. This includes antenna design, both reflector and array systems, frequency synthesizers, transmitters and receivers.
Coordinate with supplier(s) to drive system performance.
Evaluate product performance against requirements.
Perform pre-test predictions against analytical models.
Perform RF CCA analysis.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

This requisition may be filled at either the Principal RF Microwave Engineer level (T0 3 ) or Sr P rincipal RF Microwave Engineer level (T04 ) .
Principal RF Microwave Engineer : Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience; or 3 years of experience with a Master's degree ; or 4 years of experience with PHD
Sr Principal RF Microwave Engineer : Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of experience; or 6 years of experience with a Master's degree ; or 4 years of experience with PHD
Required for Both Levels:
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time , as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Experience with a network analyzer
Experience using Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project and Engineering Scheduling tools or applications.
Experience with electrical/power systems, cable/harness, circuit card, controls systems and/or components design.
Knowledgeable of using the Mentor Graphics Capital/ Xpedition , HFSS, CST tools or equivalents
Experience reviewing engineering specifications, schematics and/or drawings with the ability to translate customer driven requirements into specifications.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience resolving issues and providing technical support
Experience in ICBMs
Electrical design experience in CAD such as NX/ Revi
Experience in coding and translating anlysis to design
Experience working with external customer to meet program expectations in a timely and efficient manner.
Experience with maintenance and reliability engineering
Experience using the following tools: ANSYS, MATLAB, or equivalents
Experience using the Mentor Graphics Capital/ Xpedition tool or equivalents
Teamcenter /CPLM experience
Continuous Process Improvement experience
Experience with Agile
Knowledge of various data transmission formats ( eg . Serial, TCP/IP, Fiber etc )
Knowledge in discrimination using RF.
