Job Description Join our team as a Mechanical Engineer, working within a dynamic manufacturer specializing in surface heaters, temperature controllers, and insulators. Our products play a critical role across various industries to prevent freezing, maintain flow, and ensure optimal process temperatures. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity where you will leverage your expertise to innovate and improve our product offerings. Responsibilities
- Review design specifications submitted by sales and application engineering to assess feasibility and manufacturability.
- Recreate customer geometry using SolidWorks, based on provided hand sketches, 2D drawings, or 3D files.
- Complete heating element layout designs, adhering to design and manufacturing best practices.
- Create and review shop drawings, bills of materials (BOM), bills of operations (BOO), and labels for custom heating products.
- Assist application engineering and sales with application specifications and customer inquiries.
- Perform heat transfer analyses for applications such as freeze protection, condensation prevention, and process heating.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and testing lab personnel to troubleshoot and validate custom heating solutions.
- Engage directly with customers to support application needs and provide solutions.
- Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of two internship or Co-Op experiences in a manufacturing environment focused on design
- SolidWorks experience
- FEA experience with knowledge in heat transfer and flow analysis classes
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- Candidates with M.E.T. background strong in FEA will be considered
