Please join us as a Project Engineer , where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art tactical avionics system for the Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) program. FBM is the U.S. Navys premiere effort towards enabling world-wide strategic nuclear deterrence; as well as global stability and security for not only the U.S, but also for our allies and partners worldwide.

Location: This position does not support teleworking ; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Littleton CO , and be expected to work in the office.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

Work with low SWaP, radiation hardened, space rated devices.
Support all aspects of tactical avionics development, to include architecture, design, analysis, and test.
Support technical reviews, and be able to present to internal and external stakeholders.
Interface with independent multi-disciplinary engineering teams who will be working in parallel to deliver the design.

To be effective in this role, you will need:

2+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's
Qualified candidate must have ability to obtain Top Secret clearance; thus US Citizenship is required.

Lets do Space! Ability to compile, prepare, and present information to management and communicate and work effectively across multiple disciplines

Demonstrated ability to organize, plan, and manage a project to successful completion

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to prepare reports, graphs, and visual presentation aids, perform measurements, or closely related and interpret data

US Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance Experience in project management including but not limited to budget planning, cost analysis, schedule development, and risk and opportunity management
Understanding of engineering principles and processes with the ability to translate complex technical ideas between disciplines
Experience facilitating discussions, meetings, and capturing critical actions/requirements
Strong sense of follow-up and closure with strict attention to detail, quality, and whole system thinking
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to foster positive working relationships
