Then keep reading - you've come to the right place.Role DescriptionForm Energy is hiring a mechanical engineer II to join our mechanical engineering team in our Weirton, WV, factory. This role will contribute to developing our energy storage system's product enclosure and auxiliary systems design. This position is part of a growing team. It will ideally suit a mechanical design engineer near the beginning of their career with a few years of demonstrated industry experience in 3D modeling, 2D drafting, supporting engineering builds of module designs for mechanical systems, cost-down efforts, and taking a design into high-volume production. You're eager to dive deep into technical challenges, can work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, and are willing to roll up your sleeves, do hands-on prototyping, and work collaboratively with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams. Relocation assistance is available.What you'll do:Design and prototyping of mechanical & electro-mechanical components for performance & functional requirements, optimizing for manufacturability, performance, material weight, and costLead critical vendor engagements and collaborate with manufacturing engineers to transition system designs from prototype to high-volume productionCollaborate with the Cell Design and Enclosure Design teams to co-develop interface designsPerform compliance studies and testing for purchased componentsParticipate in component integration events, fabricating and testing first-of-a-kind prototypes to validate system design choicesWhat you'll bring:Degree in mechanical engineering...
