Utilize computer software (computer-aided engineer (CAE)) tooptimizeengineering analysis tasks. Perform project research and engineering cost analysis. Use engineering tools to build prototypes and perform prototype functional testing. Provide effective engineering recommendations for project improvements. Complete detailed investigations of machines and equipment specifications in the planning phase of a new project. Guide the development process through the design, machine specification, equipment procurement, installation, safety risk assessment, and process trial project phases and milestones. Confirm the dimensional quality and accuracy values of each engineering project. Communicate with engineering and manufacturing teams effectively to provide engineeringexpertiseto various aspects of project completion. Provide post-project engineering analysis after handover with a focus on process improvement to implement in future projects. Lead and manage new model projects from all aspects of Body engineering in Toyota's North American Body Manufacturing Shops. Support the Body Production Engineering department'sobjectiveto provide new model processes to the manufacturing facilities which meet all targets for safety, quality,productivityand cost. Lead your equipment responsibility for the project schedule, budget,weldand dimensional quality confirmation. Guide the process development through process design, machine specification, equipment procurement and installation, safety risk assessments, dimensional accuracy investigations and process trials based on project milestones and events. Responsible for procurement and designing specifications of machines and robots used for body weld managing and working with vendors to get the correct quality and spec machines.30% domestic and international travel.Education/Experience Requirements:- Bachelor's degree inmechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a similar manufacturing engineering discipline including aerospace engineering.- Three years of experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.Skill Requirements:- Proficiency with Catia, AutoCAD, C3, or ANSYS.- Proficiency with Solidworks , Cintoo , MS Project, and SAP.- Experience with guiding process development through process design, machine specification, equipment procurement and installation, safety risk assessments, dimensional accuracy investigations, and process trials based on project milestones and events.- Experience collaborating with Body Manufacturing Pilot, and Plant Facilities to divide responsibilities and resolve conflicts.- Experience with Toyota Manufacturing Body Weld.
