Senior Transportation Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer who is proficient in Highway Design, Utility Coordination, Cost Estimating, and Transportation Engineering. The role involves using MicroStation (preferred) and/or AutoCAD design software to produce plans, specifications, and engineer's estimates for roadway projects across various agencies. This includes tasks such as Geometric Design, Roadside Design, Pavement Design, and Roadway Drainage Design.

Responsibilities

• Employ fundamental principles of Highway Design and Transportation Engineering.
• Coordinate utility relocations and agreements.
• Estimate costs for roadway projects.
• Design geometric layouts, guide rails, pavement, and manage access.
• Coordinate with utility companies and perform utility risk analysis.
• Produce utility schemes of accommodation.
• Design roadway drainage and create 3D roadway models.

• Strong design capabilities with MicroStation Inroads experience.
• Experience working on DOT/Transportation projects.
• Knowledge in drainage, soil erosion, environmental plans, and utilities.
• Proficiency in transportation and civil engineering.

• AutoCAD Civil 3D software capabilities.
• Knowledge of NJDOT Capital Project Procedures and relevant manuals.
• Personality suited for team-oriented and collaborative projects.
• EIT or PE certification is a plus but not required.

Located in Edison, NJ, our office consists of a 10-person civil/transportation group. The team works three days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two days from home (Monday and Friday). The environment is highly collaborative, focusing on diverse transportation projects. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
