Job Description

The primary duties for the MDE will include:

  • Provide innovative design solutions for a wide variety of project types.
  • Creates new products and/or product enhancements to existing products.
  • Delivers on the project objectives while coordinating designs with product marketing, customer service, production, supply chain, accounting and other engineers and departments.
  • Support production activities at the production manufacturing location.
  • Keep current with technical advancements and worldwide regulations / standards.

Must Have

  • Experience and success in working with manufacturing to implement sound designs that meet cost and ease of assemble targets.
  • 5+ years experience of design principles particularly related to large multicomponent assemblies
  • Engineering knowledge to evaluate test results to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications. This role will work with testing and other engineering personnel to analyze and prepare design modifications as required.
  • Experience evaluating and solving design related issues that arise within manufacturing and/or production assembly.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven experience interacting with other groups to finalize product specifications.
  • A disciplined, motivational personality who is also self-motivated, results oriented, and capable of sustained and continuous effort.
  • Hands-on approach and mechanical aptitude
  • Thorough and consistent documentation habits paired with excellent organizational and management skills
  • The ability to work effectively within our fast-paced product design team.

  • Sheet metal design experience
  • Creo experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $52.88/hr.
