Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and commissioning new proprietary Alliance equipment at customer facilities, conducting calibrations and updates to system components, resolving mechanical malfunctions and overseeing optimization projects by means of predetermined mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and/or software adjustments.
Responsibilities :
- Provides highly technical training and support to customer operators and staff to optimize production outputs and maximize machine efficiency.
- Conducts highly complex on-site installations and upgrades of new and existing proprietary equipment at Alliance customer facilities.
- Inspects completed installations and observes operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications, as well as customer requirements.
- Analyzes and assesses customer production needs, such as equipment builds, layouts and installations, as well as modifications to existing systems and efficiency testing.
- Audits the technical status of Alliance machinery present at the customer facility and, based on that analysis, offers proposals for improvements and adjustments to maximize outputs and ensures compliance with operational, safety and environmental standards.
- Provides top-tier engineering support to address customers technical issues at various locations.
- Conducts routine and emergency electrical engineering servicing of proprietary equipment, including diagnosing root causes and providing solutions to maximize production output and efficiency.
- Detects, reports and services defective or faulty components and equipment.
- Provides highly technical training and support for customer operators and technicians to ensure proper equipment usage and maintenance.
- Ensures optimal end user safety in performance of all equipment operations, emphasizing safety and industry best practices.
- Creates, updates and distributes equipment troubleshooting and training manuals for customer use.
- Maintains detailed documentation, including engineering analysis summary, safety assessments, technical installation records and service reports.
Required Education and Experience :
- Requires a Bachelor's degree (Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline), or foreign degree equivalent.
- 5 years of experience with each of the following: technical work experience with automated equipment, electrical technologies, and the calibration and optimization of mechanical production systems; installing equipment and associated machinery as required by customer to interface with new or existing production line equipment; and completing services calls, which includes troubleshooting, electrical and control work, conducting system audits, preventive maintenance, rebuilds, retrofits, and system training.
- 3 years of experience with each of the following: working with mechanical and control components and application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in completing a sequence of related Engineering tasks; PLC and HMI platforms, such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Visual Basic; and electrical schematic design software ePLAN and/or PromisE
- Position allows for telecommuting from anywhere in the continental U.S. Will be required to report to the offices in Spokane, Washington when not assigned to a specific jobsite or project.
- Position requires up to 40% domestic travel and up to 60% international travel, including to Mexico and throughout Latin America, to visit customer facilities to install, relocate, rebuild, retrofit and integrate existing product lines with Alliance equipment.
- Position requires fluency in the Spanish language in order to liaise directly with customers in Mexico and other Latin American countries regarding product lines and equipment.
Compensation: $128,233.00
