Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill an Electrical Engineer position that just opened in Manassas, VA. In this role, you'll become an integral member of the engineering team dedicated to the development of military-grade electronics the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) system. To be considered, you will have an Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related plus a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Seeking a Electrical Engineer with 2+ years of technical experience to become an integral member of the engineering team dedicated to the development of military-grade electronics the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop new and modify existing electronics in the form of PCB designs
Analyze and design analog and digital electronic circuits including analog signal conditioning and communication interfaces
Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware
Develop test criteria and assist in the design of test systems
Perform component and architecture trade studies to determine optimal system solutions to design hardware and electronics based on commercial and industry components and technologies
Generate design and interface documentation
Design cable assemblies
Develop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with the engineering development life cycle, including concept, requirements, design, implementation, and test phases
Working knowledge of common communication interfaces such as RS-422, RS-485, and LVDS
Experience in analog and digital circuit design
Experience with lab equipment including signal generators, high speed oscilloscopes, and digital logic analyzers
Proficiency in all phases of PCB design, including creation of high-level functional and architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, schematic entry (OrCAD Capture experience a plus), and working with the PCB layout team to optimize placement, signal integrity, fitment, etc.
Strong documentation and communication skills
Experience with firmware or microcontrollers a plus
Experience with VHDL/Verilog a plus
