Overview The ideal candidate for thisposition is self-motivated, self-disciplined, and able to workindependently. Strong interpersonal and writing skills are critical. Thecandidate will perform a variety of engineering work including but notlimited to, initial planning, design phases, and construction support ofsubstation projects. Ability to manage the civil/structural aspect ofsubstation projects with little oversight. Performs other duties asrequired. Responsibilities Perform as structural engineering lead,responsible for execution of structural engineering scope, budget, andschedule, on a multi-discipline team of engineers executing complexengineering projects for clients in the utility, renewable, and oil &gas industries. Coordinate resourcing needs to meet client deadlineswith the management team. Perform structural engineering calculationsand review structural engineering calculations and drawings. May beresponsible for multiple projects simultaneously Prepare proposals andestimates for various projects Assist with project management includingbudgets, schedules, and client relations Serve as Engineer of Record forprojects Qualifications Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in CivilEngineering, Structural Engineering, or a similar/related field, from anaccredited school or University is required. Minimum 10 years ofstructural engineering experience in the utility industry. Registered asa Professional Engineer, PREFERRED Must have excellent oral / writtencommunication skills and ability to work well in teams Ability to applyanalytical or scientific thinking to define and solve problems and beable to execute field and office tasks Proficient with Risa3D,RisaFoundation, MathCad, Mat3D, SAP2000, STAAD, AutoCAD, LPile,\...
