Job Description
- Lead all phases of project management/coordination including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project execution.
- Track and manage project budgets, schedules, and risks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
- Prepare status reports, forecasts, and presentations for clients and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and industry standards.
- Mentor and support project team members, including coordinators and field staff.
- Monitor projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Collaborate with various departments to address and resolve project barriers.
- Manage project scheduling within allocated hours for Low Voltage Distribution jobs.
- Coordinate with Joint use companies for underground projects.
- Serve as the single point of contact for departments when projects encounter barriers.
- Modify dates for notification, orders, and tasks when re-design is required.
- Collaborate on forecasting crew movement and managing workplan changes.
- Provide weekly updates to Program Managers and Directors on project statuses.
- Participate in problem-solving and lean management efforts to improve processes.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of project management/coordination and utility experience.
- PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Experience related to utility work, including LVD, Substation, Transmission, Nat Gas, and underground utility.
This role offers a hybrid work schedule with initial office-based work, transitioning to a consistent hybrid model. Work locations include Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Lansing.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.08/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
