The anticipated closing date for thisposting is 6/30/25 and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.Job Function:The Sr. Project Engineer - ME IV provides team leadership and supervises thedevelopment of engineering solutions throughout the project life cycle.Core Duties & Responsibilities:As a Sr. Project Engineer, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of designengineers, driving innovative solutions for hazardous environments. You willbe responsible for all technical aspects of design, analysis,manufacturing, and project delivery. Acting as the primary technical pointof contact for customers, you will ensure engineering concepts are developedinto practical solutions with minimal oversight.Your role includes guiding the team in producing precise manufacturingdrawings incorporating limits and fits, welding symbols, geometrictolerances, and surface finishes. You will review and approve detailed partand assembly drawings, as well as full engineering calculations, assuringaccuracy. Additionally, you will produce, review, and validate technicalreports and documents to align with contract and quality requirements. Yourexpertise will be instrumental in selecting components and systems based oncalculations and hands-on experience while driving cost-effective innovationsto streamline design processes. You will also manage change control, overseecontract scope variations, and work closely with other engineeringdisciplines within an integrated design team.As a team leader, you will mentor engineers on industry standards, bestpractices, and techniques. You will collaborate with other projectengineering leads and managers, ensuring technical excellence and compliancewith established procedures. Additionally, you will contribute valuableinsights to support business development and new project quotations.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering with at least 10years of design experience and 3 years in a technical leadership role.Nuclear or high hazardous remote special purpose machinery design experienceand knowledge of nuclear design procedures a plus.Professional Engineer or working towards achieving.Experience with calculations (FEA, stress/fatigue/vibrationanalysis) preferred.Knowledge of drawing principles and standards including geometric dimensioningand tolerancing, as well as familiarity with EFD'S, P&ID's and MFD's.Working knowledge of complex mechanical equipment and fabrications,manufacturing techniques, materials and processes.Skilled in both 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D design (Inventor and Vaultsystem/SolidWorks) software packages.Understanding of ISO 9001 and NQA-1 Quality Assurance Programs and EH&Slegislation, as well as commercial awareness and business acumen.This position may require the incumbent to work with export-controlled items.Typical Working Conditions:Primarily an office environment with work periodically performed in thefabrication/machine shop and outdoor testing areas. Depending on theproject, there may be occasional travel to customer job sites. JFT hasimplemented a 9/80 work schedule, and the office is closed every other Friday.Physical Requirements:Must be able to work on a computer (standing or sitting) for most of theday and use standard office equipment. Ab lity to communicate effectively inwriting and verbally with team members, customers, and vendors isessential.
