Thesuccessful candidatewill be responsible for the managementand execution of the technical components of exciting water industry projects.With an opportunity to join an established engineering consulting firm that israpidly growing throughout the United States, the successful candidate willhelp lead execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, supportregional teams with marketing and business development, participate inindustry activities and events, and learn and mentor as part of a growingnational resource team. Specifically, responsibilities will include avariety of projects related to one or more of the following categories:Water distribution systems, including hydraulic modeling, masterplanning, pumping and storage evaluations, water quality evaluations,and water loss studies;Wastewater collection systems, including hydraulic modeling, masterplanning, rainfall-derived infiltration and inflow analyses, and liftstation evaluations;Water supply and integrated master planning, including evaluations ofsurface water supplies, ground water supplies, reuse, and water rights;Water distribution and wastewater collection system asset management,including condition assessment, sanitary sewer evaluation studies, andcapital planning;Conveyance systems, including wire-to-water analysis, pumpingoptimization, transient analysis, computational fluid dynamics(CFD), and management of physical modeling projects.Responsibilities will vary in relative volume, and change over time, butwill generally include:Project Management and ExecutionLead and support conceptual planning studies as a Planning Phase ManagerManage project schedule, scope, and feeManage quality assurance and risk managementFacilitate workshops with clientsMentor junior staff and coordinate with WI-MAP staff at different officelocationsCoordinate with regional team client service managers and project managersCoordinate with Water Design Center personnel through design phases ofprojectsBusiness Development SupportSupport business development activities, such as client-specific presentationsSupport proposal development effortsSupport scope, fee, and contract development servicesParticipate in professional organization activities, including committeesand conferencesPeriodic travel will be required on an as-needed basis for projects,conferences, marketing, and other duties.Qualified candidates must be capable of performing the following routinefunctions:Display technical competency of water / wastewater engineering and civilengineeringDevelop and manage detailed project delivery of water infrastructure planningand modeling-related projects, including scope of work, level of effort,and associated man-hour estimatesManage scope, budget, and schedule for a team of WI-MAP personnel in theexecution of Water Business Line projectsManage multiple projects concurrentlyBe responsible for time management and work product qualityKeep accurate and up-to-date project accounting on all assigned projectsConduct written and oral project reporting for regional team client servicemanagers, the WI-MAP team leader, and clients, as necessary. Reportingwill include project status, upcoming milestones, project accounting,percent completes, progress reports, etc.Prepare and execute Project Management Plans and Quality Control PlansLead internal and external project workshopsRequirementsBachelor's degree in civil, environmental engineering, chemicalengineering, or mechanical engineering fr m an ABET accredited programFive or more years of technical experience in water and wastewater with noless than two years of experience in master planning for water and/orwastewater infrastructureSignificant experience in execution of master planning projects anddevelopment of capital improvement programsRegistered as a Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to become registeredwithin six months of start of employmentExperience with hydraulic modeling software (e.g., Bentley WaterGEMS,Bentley SewerGEMS, Innoyvze InfoWater, Innovyze InfoWorks ICM)Strong communication skillsPreferred SkillsMaster's degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABETaccredited programExperience leading water supply, water distribution, wastewater collectionsystem, and/or integrated water master planning projects and developmentof capital improvement programsExperience with asset management programs for buried, linear water and/orwastewater system assets.Experience with rate studies and impact fee assessmentsExperience with water supply planning, water rights permitting, waterconservation plans, and drought contingency plansExperience with use of geographical information systems (GIS) for datahandling, processing, analysis, and results presentation.Grow With UsGarver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professionalmemberships, company support for industry licenses and...
