Job Description We are seeking an accomplished Project Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing sound engineering principles for the implementation of new manufacturing equipment, processes, and procedures, and studying techniques to enhance existing systems. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work on a major capital project at a new facility, contributing to the construction and startup of cutting-edge equipment. Responsibilities
- Provide sound engineering principles for the implementation of new manufacturing equipment, processes, and procedures.
- Study and recommend techniques to improve existing equipment and processes.
- Coordinate design activities and installations with other departments.
- Provide process line technical support, including investigating improvement opportunities, troubleshooting equipment, and addressing operator inquiries.
- Complete engineering calculations to validate the implementation of new equipment or processes.
- Represent the engineering department on cross-functional teams.
- Prepare specifications for equipment and installation and secure bids from suppliers and contractors.
- Analyze equipment and contractor installation specifications.
- Prepare layout and design drawings as required.
- Requisition material and equipment for capital projects.
- Plan, schedule, and supervise construction activities and participate in the startup and evaluation of new equipment.
- Prepare progress reports on capital projects.
- Maintain engineering documentation, including project files, datasheets, drawings, schematics, and revisions.
- Mechanical Engineering Degree
- Experience in process improvement or equipment expertise
- Experience in capital equipment project management
- Troubleshooting experience in mechanical and electrical systems
- Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLC, Rockwell, chemical manufacturing, and metal finishing
- Excellent knowledge of computer hardware and software applications
- Effective use of process automation tools and IT
- Data-driven decision-making abilities
- Thorough and organized approach
- Confidence and steadiness under pressure
