The Project Manager II will serve as a mentor and the single point of contact for defined client-facing projects. They are responsible for independently planning all aspects of the project including guidelines, deadline schedules, team member roles and expectations, resources, budgets, discrepancy resolutions, progress tracking and new processes to assess the project execution. Essential Responsibilities Lead the planning of project activities, including team member roles and expectations, project priorities, timelines, budgets and quality measures to ensure client objectives, organization expectations and project scope are met Develop project(s) and consult with the client on timeline expectations, resource requirements and further communicate across the organization Collaborate with leadership to review and report on project progress and determine timeframes Foster client, stakeholder and third party/vendor relationships Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and adherence to established project management protocols Identify and recruit team members to support Subject-Matter Experts (SME) for task completion Participate in cadenced meetings to support the project life cycle Manage potential risks that may jeopardize the project objectives and create contingency plans Advise and decide on issues important to the best interests of the client and organization Evaluate performance against defined project metrics to ensure quality satisfaction and capture successes and opportunities for improvement All other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications These may be representative, but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in business management, logistics, industrial engineering or equivalent education/work experience preferred 3+ years of demonstrated project management leadership and engagement experience preferred Strong understanding of warehousing and logistics management preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools preferred Possess a solid technical background with understanding and hands-on experience in third-party logistics relationships including startups and continuous improvement projects preferred Capabilities Ability to multitask and work in cross-functional teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and inquisitive abilities Ability to prioritize projects and possess internal-/external-facing presentation skills Ability to adapt and accept change as opportunity Physical & Mental Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee requires the ability to: Hear, read and comprehend, write and communicate Continuously sit, type and perform repetitive wrist motion Occasionally stand, walk, bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn or reach Focus (with or without corrective lenses) to see close and distant, along with depth perception capabilities Spend 25% of time on the warehouse floor, interacting with clients The physical demands herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
