The anticipated closing date for thisposting is 6/30/25 and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.Job Function:The Project Engineer - ME III supports their team with a high level ofengineering experience while providing leadership on specific projects andwithin their group.Core Duties & Responsibilities:As a Project Engineer - ME III, you will provide leadership within yourgroup and act as a primary technical contact for customers on complexprojects. You will use your expertise to bring design concepts to life bydeveloping them into effective engineering solutions with minimal oversight.Your role includes guiding the team in producing precise manufacturingdrawings incorporating limits and fits, welding symbols, geometrictolerances, and surface finishes. You will review and approve detailed partand assembly drawings, as well as full engineering calculations, assuringaccuracy. Additionally, you will produce, review, and validate technicalreports and documents to align with contract and quality requirements. Yourexpertise will be instrumental in selecting components and systems based oncalculations and hands-on experience while driving cost-effective innovationsto streamline design processes. You will also manage change control, overseecontract scope variations, and work closely with other engineeringdisciplines within an integrated design team.As a leader within your team, you will provide guidance to engineers onindustry standards, techniques, and best practices. You will alsocollaborate with project engineering leads and managers, ensuring technicalexcellence and compliance with established procedures. Additionally, youwill contribute valuable insights to support business development and newproject quotations.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, with a minimumof 8 years of design experience.Nuclear or high hazardous remote special purpose machinery design experienceand knowledge of nuclear design procedures a plus.Experience with calculations (FEA, stress/fatigue/vibrationanalysis) preferred.Professional Engineer or working towards achieving.Knowledge of drawing principles and standards including geometric dimensioningand tolerancing, as well as familiarity with EFD'S, P&ID's and MFD's.Working knowledge of complex mechanical equipment, fabrications,manufacturing techniques, materials, and processes.Skilled in both 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D design (Inventor and Vaultsystem/SolidWorks) software packages.Understanding of ISO 9001 and NQA-1 Quality Assurance Programs and EH&Slegislation, as well as commercial awareness and business acumen.This position may require the incumbent to work with export-controlled items.Typical Working Conditions:Primarily an office environment with work periodically performed in thefabrication/machine shop and outdoor testing areas. Depending on theproject, there may be occasional travel to customer job sites. JFT hasimplemented a 9/80 work schedule, and the office is closed every other Friday.Physical Requirements:Must be able to work on a computer (standing or sitting) for most of theday and use standard office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively inwriting and verbally with team members, customers, and vendors isessential. May occasi nally lift and carry objects, typically under 50pounds.
