We are seeking a full time Electrical Engineer. As an electrical engineer to join our client's team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of low noise induction coils, B-field sensors and feedback coils for portable Ground Geophysical Instruments for both surface and borehole surveys.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test geophysical instruments engineered for durability and performance in rugged field survey environments.
Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and scheduled milestones.
Conduct schematic design, PCB layout, design calculations, circuit simulations, prototyping, and breadboarding activities.
Lead instrumentation projects from initial concept through to manufacturing, while mentoring and guiding technical team members assigned to the project.
Perform validation and qualification testing, including occasional field testing, to ensure product reliability and performance.
Provide technical support to the repair and field survey teams, including assistance with instrument diagnostics, field-related issues, and equipment training.
Qualifications
Proven experience in the design of low-noise induction coils and B-field sensors.
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, or eligible for licensure with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in electrical design.
Expertise in feedback coil design and electromagnetic shielding techniques.
Proficient in small-signal analysis, including noise characterization and measurement.
Experience with roll, dip, and azimuth measurements, including correction techniques for orientation accuracy.
Strong background in mixed-signal circuit design, including instrumentation amplifiers, operational amplifiers, D/A and A/D conversion, microcontroller interfacing, as well as sensor calibration methods.
Hands-on experience with digital signal processing (DSP) and FPGA design.
Proficient in schematic capture, PCB layout, and circuit simulation tools such as PADS, PSPICE, Mathcad, or equivalent platforms.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
