Job SummarySeeking a proactive Mechanical Engineer Level II to join the Sustaining Engineering group.Focus on maintaining and enhancing existing electromechanical product lines.Work within a dynamic team to ensure products meet evolving customer needs and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Existing ProductsTroubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in production and field products.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).Design ImprovementsRecommend design changes to enhance reliability, manufacturability, and reduce cost.Perform tolerance stack-ups and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews.Change ManagementPrepare and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).Maintain and update product documentation (drawings, BOMs, CAD models).Cross-Functional CollaborationCoordinate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and service teams to resolve issues.Participate in design reviews, failure investigations, and improvement initiatives.Testing & ValidationCreate and run test protocols for validation of components and systems.Investigate returned product failures and recommend engineering solutions.Supplier SupportWork with suppliers to address mechanical part issues and ensure quality.Review and approve supplier drawing changes and deviation requests.Compliance & StandardsEnsure product compliance with relevant standards and regulations.Support documentation and certification testing (e.g., UL, CE).Project ParticipationContribute to sustaining engineering projects from concept to release.Independently manage small-to-medium projects with moderate supervision.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Experience:2+ years in mechanical design, sustaining engineering, or manufacturing support.Experience with electromechanical systems and moving components.Technical Skills:Proficient in 3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.Familiarity with ECOs, BOMs, and design documentation.Root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA).Communication:Strong written and verbal skills.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Software:Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Arena, Agile).Preferred QualificationsExperience with electromechanical office products (e.g., printers, copiers).Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing and injection-molded parts.Hands-on testing, fixture design, or validation experience (thermal, vibration).Background in cost reduction, reliability, or supplier quality projects.Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.Familiarity with compliance standards (RoHS, REACH, UL, etc.).PDN-9f17cb9f-5cec-498d-9292-773c9bc81ead
