Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague serves as the chief investment officer for the state's investment and debt portfolios, and the office oversees all daily cash flows of state monies and serves as custodian of certain funds and investments outside of the state treasury. Additionally, the Treasurer's office is home to a variety of programs aimed at supporting Ohio's families, communities, and job creators.

Job Duties

ORGANIZATION & DEPARTMENT:

The Information Technology Services Department is responsible for all technology needs within the Treasurer's office. The ITS Department includes operations (help desk; system, network and security engineers; database administrator), application development, and project management business units.

The Project Success Center facilitates (1) the creation or enhancement of internally developed software applications or (2) the customization and/or implementation of off-the-shelf software or (3) the administration of other IT projects, as assigned. A Treasurer's office operational department is typically the end user/client. The Project Success Center constructs and maintains the project timeline, captures business requirements, and acts as liaison between IT and the end user/client until the deliverable is successfully in production or the project is closed. Projects are typically managed using an Agile-like framework, conform to industry standards and utilize best practices

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of 2 years' post-secondary education majoring in computer science or related field and 12 months' experience in budgeting and calculating cost projections of programs/projects; or

36 months' experience in project management (i.e., management and development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing/pilot, training and full scale implementation) with experience commensurate with project/program; and 12 months' experience in budgeting and calculating cost projections of programs/projects; or

Equivalent of qualifications noted above.
