Software Developer

DayToDay Responsbilities:

• Initial responsibilities will involve a migration effort and understanding the various processes and custom applications.
• Collaborate with a team that is dedicated to architecting, planning, designing and delivering enterprise level solutions for the grid-scale storage group.
• Deliver new solutions in the cloud that can be leveraged for global and regional ingestion for models and analysis and also transactional activities.
• Engage with cross functional groups and stakeholders.
• Learn and utilize knowledge of storage operations for day-ahead, real-time, ancillary services, PnL, settlement, visualization, forecasting, modeling and compliance as it relates to the market protocols and operations.
• Derive baseline requirements that will convert to valuable, robust, flexible, and quality solutions.
• Potential development areas include comprehensive user interfaces, dashboards, reports, custom APIs, data integration, database, microservices and other areas that might be identified and prioritized.
• Implement, enhance or recommend processes that provides efficiency such as strong development and coding standards and version control.
• Provide immediate support, including non-business hours (rotational)
• Explore and evaluate potential solutions and services.

Must Have:

• 5+ years of experience as a software developer
• Leveraging Azure Devops, Building CICD pipelines
• IaaS environment with Azure (Kubernetes/AKS, Infrastructure as Code)
• 5+ years of exp with C#.NET
• 5+ years of exp with Python Some things the business groups are handling with Python, work with business to understand code
• Strong front end exp with Angular + javascript
• APIs- Complex data structures, RestFul APIs
• Must have SQL server backend exp supporting on prem environment, access, networking, authentication
• MUST HAVE BACHELORS DEGREE

• O&G or energy exp-AVOID HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY- THIS IS A RED FLAG
• Energy mgmt. system, ETRM, Energy domain- capacity of learning Is MOST important , off loading support to get to cloud. Exp with ISO markets like CAISO & ERCOT
