When you join Design Group as a Senior Electrical Engineer, PE, you are joining a team that will challenge you and position you for growth. In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the worlds leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.

What Youll Do

We are seeking a talented Licensed Electrical Engineer who thrives not only in designing full electrical systemsincluding power, lighting, and fire alarm for large, complex manufacturing facilitiesbut also values mentorship and leadership.

Youll be joining a firm that carefully evaluates each project before engagement to ensure we have the right capacity, skill sets, and licenses in place. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and experience in power distribution, load flow analysis, low voltage (medium voltage is a plus), and lighting design.

  • As a pivotal member of our team, you'll help deliver electrical design solutions that raise the standard for plant efficiency and safety across food, beverage, and consumer packaged goods manufacturing environments.   • Lead electrical system design across power distribution (low/medium voltage), lighting, and fire alarm

  • Apply strong working knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes to ensure safety and code compliance

  • Perform load flow analysis and short circuit studies to optimize energy use and reliability

  • Develop lighting solutions that improve safety, visibility, and energy performance

  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated facility design

  • Model and simulate designs using EasyPower, REVIT, and AutoCAD

  • Participate in client meetings and help align engineering solutions with business needs

  • Travel as needed for construction support, site surveys, startup, and client engagement

What Youll Bring

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in electrical engineering

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical system design, preferably within food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing facilities

  • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and ability to apply it effectively to ensure code-compliant, safe designs

  • Proven expertise in designing customized power distribution systems for complex manufacturing facilities

  • Experience conducting load flow analysis and optimizing overall system performance

  • Proficient in designing industrial lighting systems that enhance safety and efficiency

  • Comfortable working in multi-discipline environments, collaborating across architecture and engineering teams

  • Skilled in industry-standard software, including EasyPower, REVIT, and AutoCAD

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with clients, project teams, and stakeholders

  • Willing to travel for site visits, client meetings, startup support, and professional development

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
