As the Senior Thermal Fluids Analyst you will be
responsible for performing preliminary and
detailed level thermal fluid analysis and modeling of spacecraft propulsion systems, using both standardized tools and developing unique models and scripts. You will review and coordinate thermal fluid analysis and provide technical mentorship to less experienced stress analysts and actively support knowledge transfer. Additionally, you will work with the design and system engineering teams to assist with requirements development.Basic Qualifications :
- Experience conducting thermal and or fluid dynamics analysis
- Experience with various software programing languages
- Ability to apply new and advanced analytical
techniques necessary to perform thermal and fluid dynamics analysis
- Ability to perform classical hand calculations to solve problems
- Ability to work in a collaborative and highly
integrated team environment
- Ability and desire to assume ownership of tasks
and drive to closure quickly and efficiently- Experience with ANSYS FLUENT, Matlab, SIMULINK,
Mathcad and CREO, Thermal Desktop
- Experience model piping systems
- Experience working with high temperature gases
- Propulsion experience
- Experience using analysis to drive design
- Demonstrated examples of leading modeling efforts or change initiatives.
