Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to work on Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Electromagnetic Conduction (EMC), Lightning, and Environmental (ENV) activities at our West Hartford, CT location.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate excellent technical, analytical, and technical writing skills.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers and team members.
  • Generate EMI, EMC, Lightning, and ENV test procedures.
  • Write technical reports and operate various lab equipment, including meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, amplifiers, antennas, injection cores, and data acquisition systems.
  • Independently perform multiple tests, onsite or offsite.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electronics, schematic diagrams, and schematic design.
  • Experience with EMI testing and electromagnetic analysis software.
  • Knowledge of radio-frequency identification and radio frequency standards.
  • Familiarity with EMI, EMC, Lightning Standards in RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461.
  • Understanding of ENV Standards in RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD 810.
  • Ability to work with tile programs (customized scripts) and LabVIEW.
  • Proficiency in documentation tools such as MS Word/PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe, and Nuance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required; an Associate's Degree may be considered.
  • More than 3 years of relevant EMI, EMC, Lightning, and ENV testing and documentation experience.
  • Prior aerospace experience is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel, including possible overnight stays at offsite test locations, up to 20% annually.
  • Ability to generate EMI Control Plans and Test Procedures.
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC/Lightning Test Equipment.

The role is located in West Hartford, CT, within a leading aerospace fuel system supplier for commercial, military, helicopter, and business jet markets.
