Job Description An exciting opportunity awaits an Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic team in South Florida. The role involves supporting electrical design for municipal water and wastewater system-related projects, where innovation meets necessity. Responsibilities
- Function as the Designer/Project Engineer on projects involving medium and low voltage power distribution systems, lighting systems, and grounding systems for municipal water and wastewater facilities and industrial projects using recognized industry standards and specifications.
- Develop design details for electrical power distribution systems (480V level), lighting systems, and control systems for major industrial facilities using recognized industry standards and specifications.
- Perform system calculations and studies for electrical power systems, including load flows, voltage drops, and short circuit/coordination studies using electrical analytical software such as E-Tap and SKM Tools.
- Coordinate with CAD Drafters to create new or modify existing drawings.
- Conduct field investigations and condition assessments of electrical power distribution and control equipment.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- Minimum of 4 years of design and engineering experience for building, including electrical power distribution on industrial or complex commercial projects.
- Expertise in electrical power distribution, control systems, and condition assessment.
- Proficiency in load flow, voltage drop, and short circuit analysis.
- Experience using electrical analytical software like E-Tap and SKM Tools.
- Working knowledge of standards and codes related to electrical distribution and control systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel software.
- Preliminary knowledge of instrumentation devices (level/pressure/temp/flow) preferred.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
