What youll be able to do:

Side Door Closures - Design Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Position reports to Dearborn, MI office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Lead side door systems and architecture for vehicle development programs. Interface component and manufacturing skill teams to develop side door systems that deliver attribute performance. Lead the integration of side door components into Ford systems, while maintaining engineering responsibility for the side door structure. Lead design and release phases of the side door systems and perform issue resolution when engineering problems arise. Provide launch support involving new Ford architecture designs. Lead the implementation of new architecture strategies and provide closed loop feedback to update side closures engineering standards and system requirements.

You'll have...

A masters or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the position offered or 3 years of experience using CAD to view, measure, and cut sections. Also requires 1 year of experience identifying, correcting, and eliminating recurring problems in production process.

We are offering a salary of $102,731.00 - $197,792.48/yr.
