A Snapshot of Your Day**

You will serve as a steam turbine mechanical design engineer for our industrial service business. Collaborating with a team of experienced engineers, design drafters, marketing and sales, operations and supply chain personnel, you will develop and implement engineered designs and solutions to help our customers meet their challenges for operating plant improvements and carbon-reduction initiatives.

**How Youll Make an Impact**

+ Support Siemens Energys steam turbine modernization by providing detailed engineering design and analysis for upgrading existing equipment, including stress, vibration, and fatigue evaluations of turbine components.

+ Direct and approve engineering drawings and instructions for manufacturing and supply chain, while creating and modifying new engineering drawings and overseeing design drafting personnel.

+ Lead steam turbine customer-order engineering and R&D projects, ensuring timely completion of calculations, drawing issuance, and adherence to budgets.

+ Provide engineering quote support, including task and hour estimations, to the sales and marketing teams.

+ Develop unique repair solutions for product deviations, offering technical instructions for manufacturing, supply chain, and field service, while establishing engineering task plans.

+ Support business cost reduction and process improvement initiatives, and provide technical guidance for turbine installation, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations.

**What You Bring**

+ A bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and 2+ years of engineering experience, particularly with rotating equipment. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.

+ Possess strong skills in FEA and solid modeling, complemented by a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including stress analysis, mechanics of materials, and vibration.

+ Demonstrate exceptional organizational and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

+ Assess technical risks using available data and calculations, showcasing a proactive approach to driving change and achieving business results.

+ Excel in both team settings and independent work, with a strong motivation to collaborate and contribute to collective success.

+ Communicate ideas clearly and effectively to peers, suppliers, and customers, delivering impactful technical presentations while being sensitive to commercial and manufacturing implications; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

This job may be based in Olean, New York. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay. Details regarding our benefits can be found here: The base salary range for this position in Olean, New York is $77,000-$143,000.

Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individuals qualifications.
