Location: Mountain View, CA
Duration: 6+ months
Pay rate range: $35- $40/hr. W2, benefits
Job Description:
Responsible for the installation, maintenance including calibration/testing, and repair of equipment. Must have an understanding of mechanical and electrical principles- should be able to read and understand basic blueprints/schematics. Additionally, they will need to work/support cross functional team.
Will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team. Cleanroom experience is required.
Specific tasks that an equipment technician may be responsible for:
Installing new equipment, maintaining, and repairing equipment
Move benchtop equipment(~50-75lbs)
Connect CDA, N2 and O2 lines and exhaust vents
Connecting high electrical power cord
Equipment maintenance
Work with vendors to calibrate, troubleshoot/repair equipment
Calibrating and testing equipment
Preparing and submitting reports. Keeping records of equipment maintenance
Support, build prototypes and working with engineers to resolve problems
Debug issues relating to hardware, test set-up, firmware, and software
Install, test, repair, and validation of new and existing hardware
Assist with building custom testing fixtures/enclosures
Perform metrology measurements on optical elements
Collect and maintain test data
Lab organization
Help inventorying
Equipment
PPE
Chemical
Material from engineering
Help keep lab organized- sort out cables, tools, materials, etc
