Job Description The VDC Assistant Project Manager is tasked with executing the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) on designated projects. This role supports the management of VDC content, standard work documentation, and provides marketing and estimating support. It requires a BS degree from an accredited college or university focusing on Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or equivalent AEC industry experience, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in BIM and supporting VDC planning and execution at the project level. Responsibilities
- Execute the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) on assigned projects.
- Support the management of VDC content and standard work documentation.
- Provide marketing and estimating support.
- Train less experienced VDC staff on VDC tools and workflows.
- Educate staff outside the VDC department on VDC-related tools and workflows.
- Produce detailed 2D, 3D, 4D, or 5D deliverables for internal and external clients.
- Apply and train new processes, technologies, and methodologies promoting BIM, VDC, and LEAN culture.
- Intermediate knowledge of current construction delivery models, practices, and documentation.
- Understanding of building systems, types, and construction sequencing.
- Intermediate competency in BIM authoring software such as Revit.
- Intermediate competency in 3D coordination software like Revizto and Navisworks.
- Strong problem-solving, mathematical, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and efficient in working independently and collaboratively.
- Experience setting up and managing projects in Revizto.
- Experience with laser scanning and associated data processing.
- Part 107 certification is a plus.
- Experience using drones and related software.
- 360 photo platform experience and best practices for progress tracking.
- Experience in 4D/5D Phasing modeling and animation creation using Fuzor, Synchro Pro, or similar software.
- Experience with virtual mockups and collaboration with project teams.
- Programming experience in Dynamo, Python, or similar tools.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
