THE ROLE:

We are looking for a dynamic, self-driven, motivated, and highly talented Board Hardware Design and Test engineer with a strong experience in design and test of analog/high speed digital boards to join the Board Development team at AMD, San Jose, CA. You will drive the design and test of high performance, complex boards for some of the most advanced applications in High Performance Computing/AI/Machine Learning/5G Wireless.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills and good communication skills. Someone who loves a challenge and thrives off of the success of solving complex building challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for HW design and test of board products using AMD ASoC/FPGAs and other devices
  • Qualification and Certification support for AMD board products
  • Design/verification/validation of FPGA designs against requirements
  • Creating and debugging test benches.
  • Simulating FPGA/ASoC designs to verify functionality and performance
  • Integrating FPGA designs with other hardware and software components.
  • Responsible for board hardware bringup testing and DVT
  • Component selection, Schematic entry, Bill of materials (BOM) creation and release in Agile
  • Participation in design reviews and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Passion to learn new technologies and implement in design and test
  • Support Manufacturing test and debug of proto/production boards.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • FPGA/ASoc designs and board hardware design/test experience
  • Experience in board bring-up, functional & DVT testing
  • Experience with Xilinx Vivado development tool and debugging FPGA hardware and software interactions

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
