Title:
Jr Electrical Engineer KBR is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and sustainment of cutting-edge CUAS/CuXS technologies for Navy and defense applications in Lexington Park, MD . This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that detect, track, and neutralize aerial threats, integrating advanced electronics and RF solutions into broader security infrastructures. RESPONSIBILITIES:- Provide electrical engineering expertise in the design, development, integration, and lifecycle support of CUAS solutions.
- Design and develop electronic systems used to detect, track, jam, or neutralize UAS threats, including RF, power distribution, signal processing, and control circuitry.
- Analyze system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to optimize reliability and effectiveness.
- Integrate electrical components with broader CUAS and security infrastructure, including communications and control networks.
- Support testing, maintenance, and sustainment activities across all phases of the system lifecycle.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and tools, using sound judgment to adapt methods as needed.
- Contribute to the design and documentation of complex systems and support integration and validation efforts for larger projects.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited US College.
Experience : 2+ years of experience. At least one year of experience must be in the support of Navy cUAS/CuXS solutions.
Citizenship & Clearance: US Citizenship. Must have an active/current Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain. Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience supporting R&D portfolios for C-UAS/CuXS systems/capabilities
- Familiarity with RF systems, jamming technologies, power electronics, and embedded control systems.
- Experience collaborating with military personnel, government civilians, and contractor teams.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.
Compensation: $68,000-85,500. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation : KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
