Job Description Join a dynamic and collaborative team as a Controls Engineer focused on inverter manufacturing. You will play a key role in developing and optimizing equipment and processes to ensure that manufacturing systems operate to specification and meet customer requirements. This position involves ensuring systems are fully verified and qualified for mass production. As a subject matter expert in electrical controls engineering, you will support the design, installation, and validation of production equipment while working cross-functionally with departments domestically and internationally. Responsibilities
- Define and validate equipment specifications to ensure alignment with product and regional requirements.
- Oversee equipment installation and confirm operational readiness.
- Ensure all systems meet safety standards for operator use.
- Verify that product specifications are consistently met through daily and validation testing.
- Collaborate with other departments to support testing trials, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and controls engineering.
- Experience with Fanuc robots and Allen Bradley PLC.
- Strong knowledge of automation, electrical engineering, and pneumatics.
- Ability to program from scratch using Keyence PLC ladder logic.
- Experience in the automotive industry and electronics manufacturing.
- Expertise in HMI and robotic systems.
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Electronics.
- 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Experience with cradle-to-grave Keyence programming.
- Experience working with EV components, such as inverters and motors.
- Experience with FANUC robots.
- 5+ years of experience in Japanese automotive is a plus.
- Electronics manufacturing experience is a plus.
