Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer 5 to join their team. As a Hardware Design Engineer 5, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the development of next-generation AI hardware. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for innovation, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Austin, TX and Mountain View, CA
Duration: 18 Month Contract

What's the Job?

  • Design and implement RTL for image and video processing IP blocks.
  • Collaborate with architecture and verification teams to define specifications and test plans.
  • Perform front-end synthesis and analyze timing results.
  • Conduct CDC (Clock Domain Crossing) and lint checks to ensure design quality.
  • Debug and resolve issues in RTL and simulation environments.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (Masters preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in digital hardware design, with at least 8 years in complex RTL design using SystemVerilog.
  • Experience in design verification and debugging, including RTL quality checks (CDC, lint).
  • Strong understanding of floating-point arithmetic in RTL.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard simulation and analysis tools.
