Project Manager

Job Description

An engineering firm in Garden City is seeking a Project Manager to oversee aviation fueling projects at JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark airports. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of project communications, including technical and administrative tasks for small and medium-sized aviation fueling projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all technical and administrative aspects of aviation fueling projects.
  • Monitor and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource needs.
  • Participate in the development of engineering reports, exhibits, calculations, and designs.
  • Assist with document control activities.
  • Support construction administration services, including processing RFIs, submittals, and substitution requests.
  • Participate in internal and external project coordination meetings and construction observation site visits.
Essential Skills
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  • 5-10 years of experience in project management and construction management.
  • EIT/FE certification (plus).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of fluid mechanics and dynamics.
  • Experience with pipeline construction and fuel, oil, and gas projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with aviation/airport fuel pipeline engineering.
Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid schedule, allowing work from home on Mondays and Fridays, with in-office presence required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The role comes with 15 days of paid time off and 7 holidays. The firm has a backlog of projects, ensuring a stable workload.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $76.92/hr.
