Our team is seeking a Transportation Engineer Licensed Specialist 13 (Vulnerable Road User Safety Engineer), for our Bureau of Field Services Team. We are looking for someone who can embrace the challenges of meeting our goals and exceeding the standards!
This position functions as the statewide specialist responsible for Vulnerable Road User (VRU) safety engineering. Duties include but are not limited to: overseeing the VRU Safety Program, administering projects throughout Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), and serving as a statewide liaison for the application of VRU-oriented traffic control devices. This position requires licensing as it affects the safety and health of the state's traveling public, includes project/program manager responsibilities, and develops standards, guidelines and policies.
The "Salary" listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate through the maximum rate of the Transportation Engineer Licensed Specialist 13 position.
