Job Purpose

The Project Manager is an essential team member responsible for managing BrainFutures' youth executive function program. This state-funded project supports use of ACTIVATE, an evidence-based, digital executive cognitive function enhancement program, by students in Title 1 elementary schools. The Project Manager will report to the Project Director and support day-to-day project management, including communication with staff and parents, managing student accounts, developing program reports, and regularly using the ACTIVATE data portal to monitor implementation and student progress.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day program management to the Baltimore County Youth Executive Function Program

  • Set up and provide technical support for student ACTIVATE accounts
  • Initiate and respond to program-related communications with parents and schools
  • Use the ACTIVATE data portal to monitor program progress
  • Supervise and support school-based staff in implementing ACTIVATE by providing technical guidance, problem-solving, and regular program updates.
  • Collaborate with C8 Sciences (ACTIVATE program vendor) as needed to ensure smooth program operations

Provide logistical support to BrainFutures' Baltimore County Youth Executive Function program

  • Purchase, sort, and deliver program supplies to participating schools
  • Manage program incentives, including coordination with BrainFutures and BCPS staff to track incentive needs.
  • Schedule and coordinate virtual and on-site meetings as needed

In collaboration with BrainFutures and other partners, support development and delivery of training related to executive function for teachers, parents, and/or other audiences.

Facilitate core administrative functions

  • Support training and onboarding needs of new staff as applicable
  • Write, edit, and format program-related documents.
  • Act as a liaison between BrainFutures and school-based staff to ensure seamless program operations.
  • Support grant-required data collection and reporting.

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Located in or around Baltimore County, MD with access to reliable transportation.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced work environment with remote and on-site tasks
  • Ability to operate independently and meet deadlines with both remote and on-site work.
  • Adept at using software including Microsoft Office suite, Zoom, and Google Workspace
  • Clear oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with graphic design using Canva or similar programs preferred.
  • Experience with the Baltimore County Public School System as a professional, volunteer, or parent preferred.

Position Classification

Full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid, exempt and benefits. Benefits include vacation, sick, personal, and holidays, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, 403(b) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision insurance, health savings account, and mileage reimbursement.

General Conditions

  • Availability during the school day for school-based supply deliveries and site visits (8:00am-3:30pm)
  • Some evening meetings or events required
  • Combination of remote computer work and on-site physical work
  • Availability of a designated home office space equipped for conducting confidential business, with secured access to high-speed internet for hybrid employment.
  • Have available/access reliable transportation, along with valid driver's license and active automobile insurance coverage.
  • Must be able to lift-up to 25 pounds at times

Location

Primarily within Baltimore County, Maryland, may include some additional Maryland counties.

Compensation

$74,000-$78,000 annually
