The Aircraft Project Manager has a critical role supporting a large fleet of business jet aircraft. They organize and coordinate cross-functional teams comprised of aircraft subject experts and stakeholders tasked with delivering time sensitive aircraft projects. The Aircraft Project Manager provides strategic guidance and tactical assistance as required to each team. The output of this position is the hands-on coordination of various stakeholders tasked with ensuring each project is properly justified, implemented, and tracked to schedule. They provide continuous aircraft project and integration status, communications, and recommendations to Maintenance leadership and other groups. The Aircraft Project Manager will serve on the QA team as a fleet level leader of aircraft related projects, integration, and conformity.
Responsibilities
- Manages the aircraft conformity process to ensure the aircraft meets all regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Prepares the document package(s) for the Chief Inspector for review prior to submission by the Chief Inspector to the FAA.
- Liaise, alongside the Chief Inspector, with all applicable departments to ensure a smooth entry into service of the aircraft.
- Overseeing pre-purchase inspection activities at the selected MRO.
- Manages the import and export of aircraft.
- Manages aircraft entering and exiting the fleet.
- Overseeing recordkeeping alongside the Technical Records Specialist
- Develop and own the aircraft project standard procedures and the gated process flow.
- Lead and/or assist in the development and execution of aircraft projects and campaigns.
- Perform the essential duties of project manager including visualized project status.
- Assess project requests and ensure return on investment and alignment with goals.
- Develop the strategy, execution plan and budget for aircraft projects.
- Develop SOPs and training as required to ensure a high level of accuracy.
- Manages special projects as requested by SVP, DOM, and other leadership.
- Perform QA Inspector duties, as needed.

Qualifications:
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- Project management skills
- 3+ years of leading aviation maintenance, quality, or technical teams.

- Possess a solid understanding of the following with respect to the certificate holder's operation:
- Aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
- 14 CFR Chapter I (Federal Aviation Regulations)
- Aircraft modifications and Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs)
- Aircraft configuration management and requirements
- Aircraft conformity requirements
- Extensive knowledge of airframe/engine/APU maintenance programs
- Capable of teaching aircraft records requirements
Physical Demands:
- The physical demands of this position are typical of an office environment.
- Occasionally, travel to meet with internal teams and maintenance vendors.
- Aircraft visits as required where additional demands such as climbing ladders, kneeling, or walking long distances may be required.
Work Environment:
The primary work environment is in the office area and airports. The noise level in the work
environment is moderate and can be loud. Some locations require the appropriate level of personal
protective equipment.
