Mechanical Design Engineer - Akron, Ohio - JOB 25-01372

Salary Range: $80K - $95K Permanent Position with Benefits

Akron, Ohio Manufacturer is seeking to hire an experienced Equipment Design Engineer to design, develop and optimize extrusion machinery.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)

3+ years' in mechanical equipment, tooling, or machinery design

Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks / PDM, AutoCAD, weldments, motor sizing, hydraulic calculations, strain analysis, material selection, bills of material (BOMs) and appropriate heat treatment processes

Proficient with Excel for engineering calculations and data analysis

Design, review & verify mechanical machinery designs meet customer specifications, ASME/ANSI, FEA and FMEA standards

Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge

Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
