About the Role:

We're seeking a hands-on Product Development Engineer with a mechanical focus to join our growing team. This role will take designs from concept to production, bringing innovative physical products to life. If you enjoy designing, prototyping, and refining real-world products, you'll thrive here.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive mechanical designs for a wide range of products, from concept through production.

  • Develop practical, inventive solutions to complex mechanical and system-level challenges.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including industrial designers, electrical engineers, and suppliers to create well-integrated designs.

  • Create robust CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, and tolerance analyses using SolidWorks (required).

  • Rapidly prototype and iterate using 3D printing, machining, and other shop tools.

  • Perform reverse engineering and implement design changes as needed.

  • Specify materials and manufacturing processes to align with product goals.

  • Support DFM, tooling, and production readiness with factories and vendors.

  • Ensure designs meet applicable regulatory standards (UL, CE, NSF, etc.).

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.

  • 3+ years of experience in product development-machines, consumer goods, or related industries.

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks is required.

  • Hands-on approach: comfortable building prototypes, working with shop tools, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with 3D printing is a plus.

  • Familiarity with plastic part design, DFM (Design for Manufacturability), and DFA (Design for Assembly) is a bonus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to look at a product and envision practical improvements.
