We are looking for a self-motivated Mechanical Engineer I with strong interpersonal skills who thrives in a dynamic team work environment!
In this exciting role, you will assist in the design and development of Zebra's innovative bar-code scanners, scan engines, RFID readers and interactive kiosks, and solutions that meet customer’s data capture, asset intelligence and automation needs.
You will work with more senior engineers to develop, validate, and test products and user documentation.
Must be able to commute to Holtsville, NY office.

Responsibilities:- Establishes requirements for less complex design projects
- Works on Completing all phases of Mechanical engineering design projects
- Works on analysis of processes and delivers results to necessary stakeholders
- Analyzes results and recommends solutions
- Works on developing expected results on a variety of products
- Develops documentation for new projects and reviews previous results
- Works with latest technologies and new approaches
- Reviews changes or upgrades to existing designs or test
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions on assignments
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related degree) and;
- Minimum 1+ years' work experience in engineering role required.
Preferred Qualification:
- Product design experience in handheld/portable industrial or consumer electronic products preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated leadership ability.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative.
- Experience of product design using a CAD tool.
Experience in injection molded plastic, die cast, and sheet metal part/assembly design.
DFA/DFM experience applied to volume production products.

Salary: USD 67000.00 - USD 100600.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
